AD Toolkit · Last updated July 26, 2026
AD Toolkit ("the app") is an Active Directory helpdesk client. We built it so your data stays inside your own infrastructure.
Information we collect
AD Toolkit does not collect, transmit, or sell personal information to GDW Entertainment. We do not operate accounts for the app, and we do not include analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
Where your data goes
AD Toolkit is a client for a backend that you install inside your own network (or your customer's network). All Active Directory data — usernames, employee IDs, department names, lockout status, and so on — flows directly from your self-hosted backend to your device over HTTPS. It never passes through GDW Entertainment or any third party.
Data stored on your device
- Server profiles you configure (server label, URL, and the username you last signed in with) are stored locally on your device in the app's preferences.
- Authentication tokens returned by your backend are stored in the iOS Keychain with
WhenUnlockedThisDeviceOnlyaccessibility. They are only readable while the device is unlocked and never sync to iCloud or device backups. - The temporary passwords produced by password resets are shown once on screen and are not persisted anywhere in the app.
Demo mode
The "Use Demo Server" option runs an in-process mock backend with seeded fake users. No network connection is made and no personal data is generated, transmitted, or stored.
Permissions
Face ID (or Touch ID / device passcode) is used to unlock the app on launch and after backgrounding. The app requests no other privacy-sensitive permissions.
Children
AD Toolkit is a workplace tool and is not directed to children under 13.
