Terms of Use
AD Toolkit · Last updated July 26, 2026
Agreement
By downloading or using AD Toolkit ("the App"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Description of Service
AD Toolkit is an iOS client for the open-source AD Toolkit backend, which you install and operate on your own infrastructure. The App lets an authorized administrator search Active Directory users, unlock accounts, and reset passwords against the backend they configure.
Authorized Use Only
You are solely responsible for confirming that you have the right to perform each action you take with the App. GDW Entertainment is not responsible for how you use the App or for any consequences of unauthorized use.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App against a directory you are not authorized to administer.
- Reset the passwords of, or unlock, accounts you have not been asked to service.
- Use the App to attack, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any network or account.
- Attempt to reverse engineer or tamper with the compiled App binary in a way that violates the App Store terms.
Open Source
The source code for both the iOS App and the backend is published under the MIT License on GitHub. You are welcome to audit, modify, and self-host it. The MIT License governs any use of the source; these terms govern your use of the compiled App as distributed on the App Store.
Credentials and Your Data
Server profiles and preferences are stored locally on your device. Authentication tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain with device-only accessibility, and are never sent to GDW Entertainment. Active Directory data flows directly between your device and the backend you configure. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Purchases
The App is free and contains no in-app purchases at this time.
Permissions
The App requests Face ID (or the equivalent Touch ID / device passcode) to unlock on launch. You may revoke this in your device settings, but the App will not open without a successful device-owner authentication.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. GDW Entertainment does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error free, or that actions performed through it will always succeed against every backend or directory configuration.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GDW Entertainment shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including any unauthorized password resets, account unlocks, or lockouts caused by user error, misconfiguration, or misuse.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
