Terms of Use

Agreement

By downloading or using PocketAdmin ("the App"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Your license to use the App is also governed by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

Description of Service

PocketAdmin is a network and IT administration toolkit for iOS. It provides tools such as ping, traceroute, port scanning, an SSH terminal, switch and server management over SNMP and Redfish, hypervisor and backup tools, a password vault, Wi-Fi analysis, and related utilities, and optional Teams that share records with the people you invite. The tools connect only to the hosts, servers, and networks you choose.

Authorized Use Only

You may use PocketAdmin only on networks, devices, and systems that you own or that you have explicit permission to access and test. Scanning, probing, or connecting to systems without authorization may be illegal.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to use these tools against any given target. GDW Entertainment is not responsible for how you use the App or for any consequences of unauthorized use.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose or to access systems without authorization.
Use the App to attack, disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to any network, device, or account.
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
Use the App in a way that violates the acceptable-use policy of any network or service provider.

Actions That Change Equipment

Some tools can change the equipment they reach: shut a switch port or cycle PoE, power a server off or restart it, stop a virtual machine, or run one command on many devices at once. The App asks before each of these, but you are responsible for the changes you make and for confirming you have chosen the right device.

Credentials and Your Data

Sites, devices, files, preferences, and other data you enter are stored on your device, and passwords, SSH keys, and other secrets in the iOS Keychain. If you create or join a team, the sites filed under it, with their devices, logins, and files, are synced through Apple's iCloud to the team's members, with secrets end-to-end encrypted. None of it is sent to GDW Entertainment. You are responsible for backing up your data and for keeping your credentials secure. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Teams

A team is created by an owner, who holds the subscription, and joined by the people the owner invites. The owner and the team's admins decide who can view or change the team's records, and are responsible for whom they invite. Every member can use the logins stored at the team's sites. Removing a member deletes the team's records from their device, but it cannot undo what they have already seen, so change any shared password that needs it.

Feature Board

Ideas and replies you post on the in-app Feature Board are public to other users of the App. Do not post anything unlawful, abusive, or hateful, or anyone's personal information. We may hide or remove any post at our discretion.

Subscriptions and Purchases

The App and its tools are free. Creating a team requires a Team subscription, offered monthly or yearly, with prices shown in the App before you subscribe. Joining a team someone else created is free. Subscriptions are sold by Apple through the App Store and charged to your Apple ID. A free trial, where offered, becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel before then. A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage or cancel it in your Apple ID account settings.

If a team's subscription ends, the team becomes read-only for 30 days, and a payment during that time restores it. After that the team is wound up: members' copies of its records are removed, and the owner's sites remain on the owner's device as ordinary sites. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple directly through their Report a Problem page.

Permissions

The App may request Local Network, Location (for the Wi-Fi network name), Camera and Microphone (for photos, clips, document scanning, LiDAR coverage mapping, and the sound meter), Photos, Bluetooth, NFC, notifications, and Face ID permissions. These are used only for the corresponding features. You may revoke any permission in your device settings, though the related tools will not work without them.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. GDW Entertainment does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error free, or that diagnostic results will be accurate or complete.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GDW Entertainment shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including any misuse of the tools it provides.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
